The Resistor type PBH, which is very similar to typeTO 247 for high power transistors, features smalldimensions complemented with high load capacity andcompatibility with active components.
The use of the precision resistance material MANGANINas well as optimization of conductor leads and resistancestructure result in a low temperature coefficient, a long-term stability and low inductance.
The resistor is mounted through a center bore to theheatsink, whereby the large area of the base plate willfunction as an optimum heat transfer.The thermal resistancebetween resistor layer and aluminum base plate is ratedbelow 4 K/W, so that the temperature of the resistor foil
P / P Nenn10.750.50.25 will rise only little at a nominal load of 10 W, compared withcustomary resistors. This again results that the absoluteresistance deviation caused by the temperature coefficient,is very low under load and will serve for a good stability onoverloading.
The resistor is ideally suited for applications in powerelectronic and control technique, as most applications atinductive loading will require operation with switched powerregulating units.
Short connection distances and small dimensions withhigh loading capacity and low inductance are a prerequisitefor obtaining high switching frequencies.
