The Faculty of Ecation at UOIT invites applications for a tenure-stream or tenured appointment, with expertise in Elementary English Language Arts Methods, at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, effective July 1, 2008.
The Faculty of Ecation at UOIT in Oshawa, Ontario, seeks innovative tenured and tenure-stream teacher ecators to participate in the development and delivery of its technology-enhanced programs. The Faculty's B.Ed. programs serve to prepare elementary and secondary teachers in the physical and biological sciences, mathematics, computer science, visual arts, geography, drama and English. The Faculty also offers a range of professional development and additional qualification courses and is developing a proposal for graate studies.
UOIT is committed to a technology-enhanced Mobile Learning environment in which every student uses a laptop computer and all faculty members teach using a laptop computer.
Applications are sought from indivials who can both contribute to the teacher ecation programs described above and assist with the development of graate programs that have an ecational technology focus. Preference will be given to experienced faculty with established research credentials. A completed Ph.D. and K-12 teaching experience are requirements for these positions.
