摘要：The invention relates to a composite article comprising a metal sheet of at least0.25 mm thickness and at least two unidirectional sheets, with the metal in the metalsheet having a melting point of at least 350°C, whereby the unidirectional sheetscomprise at least 2 mono-layers of unidirectional oriented high performance fibers, withthe direction of the said fibers in a mono-layer is at an angle α to the direction of thefibers in an adjacent mono-layer. The invention furthermore relates to a process for themanufacture of a composite article and the use of the composite article in buildings andconstructions, vehicles, and ballistic applications, especially under conditions of heat andfire.
